Morris--funeral services for George R. Morris, 49, of 812 Acosta Street, who passed away Monday after a brief illness, will be held at 2 P.M. today in the Memorial Chapel of the Seashole Funeral Parlors, with the Rev. Robert Witty, pastor of the Faith Temple, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.

Morris--Mr. Morris is survived by his widow, Mrs. Evelyn V. Morris, two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Godbey, of Kansas City, Mo., and Miss Shirley Morris, of this city, one son, K. Morris, of U.S. Navy, one sister, Mrs. Maudie Martin, of Pampa, Texas, two brothers, Frank B. Morris of Kansas City, Mo., and Charles D. Morris, of Shawnee, Kan., and one grand-daughter, Joy Carol [living].

Jax Contractor is Taken by Death--...a well known Jacksonville contractor, died at his home early today, following a brief illness. A native of Wallace County, Kansas, he had resided in Jacksonville for the past 11 years, coming here from Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church, and Kansas City Lodge, F and A.M.

Newspaper Article, Wed., November 27, 1929:
"A benefit card party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Morris, 4940 Bellefontaine avenue, sponsored by the mothers' auxiliary of the Boy Scouts of troop 28, netted $7."

From a post card dated Sept. 7, 1932, it is known that Geo. Ralph Morris lived at 7220 Brooklyn Ave., Kansas City, MO.
